Both of these teams already know who they'll be facing in the first round of the playoffs and I suspect Thursday's matchup will have a bit of a preseason feel to it. With that said, I like the Jets to keep their long winning streak intact as they look to head into their showdown with the mighty Avalanche with a full head of steam. The Canucks are coming off back-to-back wins over the Oilers and Flames including a decisive 4-1 victory on home ice two nights ago. This is of course a game where they'll simply be looking to stay healthy heading into the postseason. There's no question that it's been a very depressing start to the season for the Marlins. They are just 4-15 now after yesterday's defeat and have another tough series ahead of them against the Braves after this one. Having said that, they need this game badly to get back on track. Knowing that Imanaga is on the mound in game two of this series, a win here would be huge to gain some momentum. The Marlins will give the ball to AJ Puk. He hasn't been great this year, but he's shown some potential. Looking at the Cubs starter, Jameson Taillon is set to get the ball for the first time this season. He did well in his last start (AAA,) but was very poor in the start before that (AA.) I think that the Marlins will give it their best on Thursday and win this game. I'll take the extra run and a half though.
